Based in Austin, TX, I’m fortunate to be exposed to cutting-edge design and forward-thinking ideas everywhere I go. In fact, I discovered UX Design during a networking event while mingling around the room and giving my “elevator pitch” to the assemblage of Austin’s young influencers.
As my new connection spoke about her field of work, I found myself thinking about how long it had been since I felt really intrigued and excited about something like that. I immediately began to research the UX field and started to take steps to shift the direction I was heading. It was not long after this fateful happy hour that I decided to join the next cohort with Designlab.
While learning all of this brand-new stuff was challenging, it was also rewarding in ways I couldn’t have anticipated. I created beautiful, usable products based on a solid foundation of research and synthesis. Working in an agile environment, I learned that UX is a series of sprints in the greater marathon and I am confident that I’d be an asset to your team.
